Joe Inglett is a solid bench player. He is a decent hitter and a decent fielder but he cannot start if the team wants to contend. The Rangers need a designated hitter.

At the time I didn't know Van Every was brought in by the Pirates. The list of DH's was to address the Blue Jays needing another power bat, which is very limited this offseason. Right now, the only one left is Russell Branyan.
Wait-- what exactly does that list of DHs mean in your post? Van Every, for one, is with the Pirates organization.
