Jerry Hairston Jr.: Signed one year deal with Padres

Jerry Hairston Jr. is a solid fielding infielder. Given the Padres do not have a third baseman, Hairston would fit in perfectly batting eighth and giving a good glove at third base. He is a good veteran presence and a hardnosed player. The Padres should look at Ron Belliard or Felipe Lopez to fill the second base position.
