Felipe Lopez is a terrific offensive player and a good addition to the Cardinals. He is a better player than Skip Schumaker and should start for the Cardinals on opening day. Lopez can lead off or hit in the middle of the order. His versatility on the field or in the batting order gives Tony LaRussa endless possibilities.
The Cardinals should invest in an additional center fielder such as Darin Erstad, Ryan Freel or Joey Gathright.
