Kelvim Escobar is a very good pitcher and should be in the Mets starting rotation. I've heard the Mets want to use him in the bullpen, and though he'd perform well there, he'd have a bigger impact in the starting rotation as a strong pitcher to follow Johan Santana. The Mets are trying to remake their pitching staff and if Escobar shows he's overcome his injuries, he's a very good talent on the team.

I like your No. 3 starting pitcher. He certainly deserves it.
The Mets don't have anyone else who inspires confidence. He is their best option.
