Jamie Burke is a terrific fit for the Nationals. If given the everyday job, he'd be a very good hitter, which will make up for his below average fielding skills. The Nationals need some good bats and Burke can provide one. In addition, he can be a mentor to Jesus Flores, the young Nationals catcher. It is still a good idea to trade Ryan Zimmerman for a lot of young pieces and sign a defense oriented third baseman.
