Jose Valdez: Signed one-year deal with Astros

The Astros needed some bullpen help and they've gone out there to bring their bullpen closer to completion. Jose Valdez has been a very good pitcher in the minors and given the opportunity, he could excel in a bullpen role. He's better than Chris Sampson and Chad Paronto and in turn forcing them into slightly lesser bullpen roles. Valdez could be a setup man with Tim Byrdak leading to Samuel Gervacio as the closer.
