Marcus Thames: Signed minor league contract with Yankees

Marcus Thames is known for his power in his bat and nothing else. The reason why he should remain in the minors for the season is because he can't hit for a high enough average to be worth the power output. He is also not a good fielder and with his high strikeout rate, he's a feast or famine hitter the Yankees do not need in their lineup. He might be good for a big bat off the bench, but I would leave him in the minors for the season.
