Even though John McDonald's numbers do not jump out at you, I feel he is the ideal number two hitter. The Blue Jays have a void in the number two hole and third base. McDonald's defense at shortstop is a little overrated and he's capable of playing third base. If the Blue Jays start him at third, the Blue Jays will have filled another hole. Now the Blue Jays are only missing a right fielder.
