Mark Teahen can do a lot of things, but nothing nothing with any excellence. He will be a bench player. White Sox traded Chris Getz and Josh Fields for him. Getz would have been the starting second baseman as one of the defense-oriented players. Now that Getz is gone, Mark Kotsay can slide into the starting role as the everyday center fielder, which shifts their needs to a third baseman because Gordon Beckham is moving to second base. In turn this trade just shifts their needs, but doesn't lessen them.
