Mark DeRosa: Signed two year contract with Giants
Mark DeRosa is a good fielding third baseman and though he's known for his bat, he doesn't fit the holes the Giants have in their lineup. They do not have a top of the order and DeRosa doesn't provide the on base percentage and strikes out too much. The Giants need a center fielder and a shortstop. Endy Chavez, Jeff Fiorentino, Ryan Freel, Joey Gathright, Jonathan Van Every, and Randy Winn would be good players to man center field. Orlando Cabrera, Ramon Martinez, or Miguel Tejada would be a good as a shortstop.
