Vicente Padilla: Signed one year deal with Dodgers

Vicente Padilla is a very good pitcher. He would be a solid number four starter in a good rotation and if needed he can be an effective reliever. Looking at the Dodgers rotation, however, I like Chad Billingsley, Charlie Haeger, Clayton Kershaw, Hiroki Kuroda, and Eric Stults better than Padilla, which really defines the depth the Dodgers have built with this signing. The Dodgers have eleven better pitchers than Padilla that can relieve in the bullpen. The Dodgers pitching is a strength and Padilla only makes it stronger even if his impact isn't immediate.
