Garrett Atkins: Signed one year deal with Orioles

This move has nothing but upside as long as the Orioles aren't leaning on his production for their offense this year. Over the past few years his numbers have trended downward hitting rock bottom in 2009 and I didn't see many signs of him coming back. If he does Andy MacPhail is a genius, but I don't see it happening. Poor fielder and poor hitter at this point in his career, but the saving grace is he's only 30 so there's a chance. The O's should look at Jason Bay, Matt Holliday, Jonathan Van Every, and Russell Branyan because they are still lacking power in the lineup.
