Jason Marquis is a terrific signing for the Nationals. Before the signing, the Nationals had two good starting pitchers out of a five man rotation. I would place Marquis at the top of the rotation because every start he makes, the Nationals will feel like they have a chance of winning. It would be a great way to start the season on a positive note to have Marquis get the opening day start. The Nationals still need a number three and a number five starter, but they're filling the holes they still have.
